FINAL RUN IN THE UK

Matt and I had our final run through the streets of Edinburgh and along the waterfront. We ran for an hour. It was an eventful run! At one stage of the run Matt was slightly ahead of me and he suddenly dropped back behind me, at that exact moment I observed that immediately in front of me, only one step away was a rather flimsy looking plastic cover over a hole that had been dug in the footpath, at the exact spilt second my feet touched the plastic cover I thought to myself that Matt had dropped back intentionally to avoid being first over the makeshift pathway, then when my foot touched down on the plastic cover the rear part of it flipped up and Matthew when down like the proverbial bag of, well, you know. To his credit he was back up on his feet just as rapidly as he fell down. Matt claims that he didn’t intentionally drop back so I could test the waters so to speak, I will have to take his word. We became lost on the run back and stopped running after an hour and had to catch a taxi back to a Bed and Breakfast that we didn’t even know the name of!!
